Brian Beutner

Brian Beutner has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Brian started their career as an Associate at Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly in 1987. Brian then worked as General Counsel at Jostens from 1991 to 1998. Following that, they served as Vice President at UnitedHealth Group from 1999 to 2005. In 2005, Brian became the Principal of AVEMAX, LLC, where they held the role until the present time. In 2007, they became the CEO of mPay Gateway, Inc., a position they held until 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Brian served as the Chair of the Board of Directors at MNsure. Brian also joined Twin Cities Angels in 2006 as a Member, and Gopher Angels in 2015 as a Member until 2020. Brian's most recent role is as the Head of Legal, Regulatory and Risk at Harbor Health. Additionally, they were the General Counsel at Bright Health from 2016 to 2020.

Brian Beutner attended East Grand Rapids High School from 1976 to 1980. After completing high school, they went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The Wharton School, where they studied from 1980 to 1984. Subsequently, they pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law from the University of Michigan between 1984 and 1987.
