Kofi Blankson-Wood

Kofi Blankson-Wood has an extensive work experience spanning over a decade. Kofi currently serves as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Harbor Health Services, Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Recruiting and Hiring Specialist at DEO: The Dentist Entrepreneur Organization from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they were responsible for recruiting various positions, expanding recruiting channels, managing HRIS & ATS systems, and executing hiring processes. Kofi also served as a Human Resources Recruitment Coordinator at DEO from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they focused on data analysis, recruiting procedures, monitoring the recruiting budget, and maintaining compliance.

Before joining DEO, Kofi held several positions in different organizations. Kofi worked as a Field Operations Manager, HR Recruitment and Payroll at the U.S. Census Bureau in 2020. Kofi also has experience as an Office Manager & Recruitment at Social Fulcrum in 2017 and as a Transition Supports Planner at The Coordinating Center from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Medical Case Manager at Family and Medical Counseling Service, Inc. from 2014 to 2016.

Earlier in their career, Kofi held various roles including Suite Assistant at Source Office Suites from 2012 to 2014, Victims of Sexual Assault Advocate at the US Department of Health and Human Services from 2009 to 2011, and School Counselor at Clagget Center from 2006 to 2008.

Kofi Blankson-Wood obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from Montgomery College, where they studied from 2006 to 2008. Kofi then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2008 to 2011. In addition to their education, Kofi has obtained certifications in various areas related to talent acquisition and retention, interviewing techniques, recruiting, talent sourcing, tech recruiting, uncovering unconscious bias, and virtual recruiting from LinkedIn in December 2022.
