Med Heidi Nelson

Heidi Nelson, MEd, is the Director of Education at Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center, a position held since November 2012, where operations of the school within a residential behavioral health setting are managed, including accreditation, IEP oversight, and professional development resource creation. Prior to this role, Heidi served as Education Coordinator, managing student records and overseeing compliance with assessments, and as a Special Education Teacher in a residential treatment center. Previous experience includes a managerial position at Vancosta's Restaurant from 2005 to 2012. Heidi holds a Ph.D. in Special Education and Teaching and multiple degrees from Old Dominion University, showcasing a strong academic foundation in education.
