John Nichols (Jack)

John (Jack) Nichols has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. John (Jack) started their career as a Detective at the Department of the Attorney General where they investigated various criminal and civil cases. Later, they served as a Special Assistant to the Attorney General at the United States Attorneys' Offices in the U.S. Virgin Islands, overseeing special projects. John (Jack) also worked as a Director at Creative Services, Inc., managing legal, policy, and personnel issues.

Nichols then transitioned to the U.S. Department of Justice, where they served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and Federal Narcotics and Firearms Prosecutor. In this role, they conducted and directed investigations in complex criminal conspiracy cases and litigated cases in court.

In 2007, Nichols returned to Creative Services, Inc. as their General Counsel, responsible for managing legal, policy, and personnel issues. John (Jack) then joined the Harborside Group as the General Counsel, leading all legal, policy, compliance, government relations, safety, security, and personnel matters for a rapidly growing startup business.

John (Jack) later became the Chief Compliance Officer at Harborside Inc., leading the quality and compliance team to acquire licenses in California and Oregon and overseeing the implementation and management of the Quality and Compliance Program.

Throughout their career, Nichols has demonstrated effectiveness in reducing risk, increasing profitability, and expertise in navigating complex legal and compliance frameworks.

John (Jack) Nichols earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Northeastern University School of Law from 2003 to 2006. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science at the University of Southern Maine. Additionally, they hold certifications from the Boston Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and Massachusetts Bar Association, although specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
