Keith Anderson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the housing sector. Keith served as the Chief Executive of Port of Leith Housing Association starting from 2009. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Service - Housing Development and Strategic Partnerships at City of Edinburgh Council from 1999 to 2009. Keith also worked as a Senior Consultant at HACAS from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, they served as a Course Director/Lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art/Heriot Watt University, School of Planning and Housing, from 1991 to 1996. Keith's earlier roles include being a Principal Housing Renewal Officer at City of Newcastle upon Tyne, Housing Department from 1986 to 1991, a Company Secretary and Development Officer at South East London Consortium Housing Association from 1981 to 1986, and a Development Officer at Govanhill Housing Association from 1979 to 1981. To kickoff their career, Keith worked as a Post graduate researcher at the University of Strathclyde from 1977 to 1979.

Keith Anderson attended George Watson's College in Edinburgh from 1960 to 1973. Keith then went on to study at Strathclyde University in Glasgow from 1973 to 1977, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Business Administration and Sociology.
