Bin Lay Thiam

He was appointed to the Board of Harbour-Link Group Berhad on 6 February 2014. He is also a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee and was appointed as the Chairman of the Audit & Risk Management Committee on 1 July 2016. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Started his career at KPMG Peat Marwick, Kuala Lumpur in 1990 where he spent ten (10) years in the audit division. Thereafter, he served four (4) public-listed companies holding roles as Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer from 2000 to 2012. During his tenure in these public-listed companies, he was principally involved in corporate reporting, statutory compliance, and fundraising and was responsible for the financial affairs, business development, and treasury functions.

He is currently the Senior General Manager (Finance) of Econpile Holdings Berhad, a position that he holds since 2012.

He attended all four (4) Board of Directors meetings held during the financial year ended 30 June 2018.

He does not hold any directorships in other public companies.
