Sherrese Clarke Soares

Sherrese Clarke Soares has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Sherrese is currently the Founder and CEO of HarbourView Equity, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Carnegie Hall starting in 2020.

From 2018 to the present, Sherrese has been involved with Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where they served as a Board Member and held the positions of Former Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee.

In 2021, Sherrese became a Board Member at Evoqua Water Technologies, a role they will hold until May 2023.

One of Sherrese's notable roles was as the Founder, CEO, and Board Director of Tempo Music, a company they founded in 2019. Sherrese led the strategic structuring of a special purpose acquisition platform and set the investment strategy for the company. Sherrese also served as the Investment Committee Chair and oversaw the company's acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Before that, Sherrese worked at Morgan Stanley from 2009 to 2019 in various capacities. Sherrese founded and led the development of the Entertainment, Media, & Sports Structured Solutions platform, focusing on capital solutions for intellectual property. Sherrese also served as the Head of North America Relationship Lending, managing large loan commitments and leading significant strategic transactions.

Prior to their time at Morgan Stanley, Sherrese was a Senior Vice President at CIT Group from 2005 to 2009, where they played a key role in developing the Entertainment Practice and overseeing a portfolio of media and entertainment companies. Sherrese also worked at GE Capital as an Assistant Vice President, leading strategic investments in the entertainment industry.

Sherrese started their career as a Summer Associate at Provender Capital Group in 2003 and later worked as an Analyst and Associate at Morgan Stanley from 1998 to 2002.

Sherrese Clarke Soares received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from Georgetown University. Sherrese then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School, completing their studies from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they were a TOIGO Foundation Fellow during their MBA program at Harvard Business School.
