Erin Hughes is a Senior Surface Water Engineer and Queensland Regional Manager at Hydrology and Risk Consulting since May 2018. Erin is also an HB7 Team Member in the Homeward Bound leadership program, focusing on global collaboration among women in STEMM to address climate challenges. Previously, Erin contributed to the Superstars of STEM initiative at Science & Technology Australia to enhance the visibility of female scientists, and held roles as Surface Water Engineer at Jacobs and Sinclair Knight Merz, as well as Engineer at the Torres Strait Island Regional Council, where efforts concentrated on waste and water management for remote communities. Erin holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Water Management from the International WaterCentre and a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from The University of Queensland.
