Roy Bethge

Roy Bethge currently serves as the Director of Security at Hard Rock Casino Rockford, a position held since April 2023. In addition to this role, Bethge is a Co-Founder and Vice President at The Virtus Group, Inc., a leadership development firm focused on the public sector and private education, since July 2014. As a Subject Matter Expert for Leadership and Instructor Development at Louisiana State University's National Center for Biomedical Research and Training since January 2014, Bethge contributes expertise in relevant training areas. From October 2019 to September 2023, Bethge served as the Chairman of the Education and Training Committee for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Previous experience includes serving as the Chief of Police and Interim Police Chief in the Village of Cherry Valley from July 2020 to March 2023, along with extensive experience as Deputy Chief of Police in the Village of Buffalo Grove from September 1989 to May 2017. Bethge holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Columbia College, completed in 2012.
