David Powell has a strong background in IT infrastructure and security. David began their career in 1995 as the Manager of Network and Computing Services at Spencer Gifts, where they worked until 2007. David then joined The Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa as the Manager of Technical Services for eight years, before being promoted to Director of IT Infrastructure and Security in 2015. In 2018, Powell transitioned to MGM Springfield as the IT Director and held that position until 2019. Currently, they are the Director of IT Infrastructure at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, a role they have held since 2020.
David Powell's education history includes studying Hospitality Administration/Management at Rutgers University - Camden. David also obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Microcomputer Systems/Business Management from Atlantic Cape Community College. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in CCNP from Cisco in March 2004, CISSP from (ISC)² in May 2002, and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2019.
