Leonardo Mena has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Leonardo started their career as a Concierge de Relaciones Públicas at Xpu-Ha Palace in 2005. Leonardo then moved on to work at Palace Resorts as a Gerente de Relaciones Públicas, where they were responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and managing a team of 15 concierges. In 2011, they joined Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya as an International Sales Manager, where they coordinated client site inspections, developed proposals, and provided exceptional attention to detail for clients' needs. Leonardo continued their career with different Hard Rock Hotel locations, including Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta and Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, where they held the role of Director of Sales. Leonardo'smost recent position is Director of Sales at Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos, where they have been since 2018.

Leonardo Mena completed their undergraduate education from 1995 to 2000 at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. Leonardo obtained a degree in Licenciado en Administración. In addition to their formal education, Leonardo has acquired several certifications throughout their career. In December 2011, they became a Love Mexico Destination Wedding Specialist, and in March 2018, they obtained certification as a Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) from SITE. Leonardo's commitment to professional development continued when they obtained a certification in Events Sustainability from Convenciones Latinoamérica in November 2018. In September 2019, they completed a Revenue Management Program from Cornell University. Most recently, in April 2020, Leonardo achieved the Certified Association Sales Executive (CASE) certification from PCMA.
