John Erickson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. John most recently worked at Hardsuit Labs as an Engineer 3 starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they were a Gameplay Engineer at Hi-Rez Studios from February 2021 to February 2023. Before joining Hi-Rez Studios, John worked as a Gameplay Engineer at Neal Analytics from May 2019 to February 2021. John also has experience as a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon from April 2017 to April 2018. In addition, John worked as an Analyst/Programmer III at the University of New Mexico, Earth Data Analysis Center from November 2014 to January 2017. John also held positions as a Gameplay Programmer at WayForward Technologies from January 2013 to October 2014, as an Engineer at Phosphor Games from June 2010 to January 2013, and as a Gameplay Programmer at Ignition Entertainment from January 2010 to June 2010. John's earliest work experience includes roles as a Software Engineering Student at FIEA - Sultans of Scratch from February 2009 to August 2009, and at FIEA - Cross Platform Data Driven Game Engine from January 2009 to August 2009. Overall, they have a strong background in game development and software engineering.
John Erickson earned their Bachelor of Science degree with minors in Computer Science, Japanese, and Mathematics from Colorado State University, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. John later pursued their Master's of Science degree in Interactive Entertainment Programming at the University of Central Florida from 2008 to 2009.
