Tully Gehan has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the engineering and manufacturing industry. Tully has held positions such as COO at Symphony IoT, where they independently led the overall design of the product and worked with customers to understand their needs. At Hardware Massive, Tully served as the Head of the Shenzhen Chapter, where they recruited sponsors, arranged speakers, and worked with volunteers to build and facilitate the manufacturing community. Tully also founded Factory For All, where they worked on designing and manufacturing various products and successfully managed over 15 Kickstarter campaigns. Additionally, Tully has worked as a Project Manager at Seeed Studio, overseeing customer and in-house projects, and as the Director of Design & Manufacturing at Openmoko Inc, managing a hardware team and bridging the gap between industrial designers and vendors. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Design & Manufacturing at Power Science Incorporated where they led the design and manufacturing of electrical charging bases and managed projects with smartphone companies. Tully also has experience at ENERCON Technologies as a Product Design Engineer, where they were responsible for turning customer concepts into marketable products and designing custom machines for assembly procedures. Before that, they worked at DEKA Research & Development as a Mechanical Engineer, participating in the development of alternative power sources for mobility devices. Tully started their career as a Mechanical Design Engineer at the University of Rochester, where they worked on designing and troubleshooting opto-mechanical systems for fusion research.
Tully Gehan attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1992 to 1996. Tully obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering during this time. The field of study for their degree is not specified.
