Sharon Markley Schreiber was appointed to the Board in 2020. As chief operating officer for the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore (EAGB), Ms. Schreiber oversees day-to-day operations and focus on programming and support for the regional economic development organization's marketing efforts. Ms. Schreiber has more than 12 years' experience in education, previously serving as Director of Education and Innovation for the Maryland Department of Commerce, Vice President for Public Affairs and Strategy at Stevenson University, and Special Assistant to the President at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Ms. Schreiber is a member of the Leadership Maryland class of 2021, a 2011 graduate of The LEADERship program in Greater Baltimore, and a member of the Maryland Economic Development Association. She is an avid volunteer for nonprofits across the state.
Ms. Schreiber holds a BA degree (summa cum laude) in philosophy with a minor in communications from Notre Dame of Maryland University; she also attended Maryland Institute College of Art and Harford Community College. She completed the Harvard Management and Leadership in Education (MLE) graduate program in 2013. A Harford County native, Ms. Schreiber graduated from North Harford High School. Ms. Schreiber and her husband Bret currently reside in Forest Hill and have a teenage daughter and two adult sons. Ms. Schreiber's mother, Marjorie Markley, was one of four members of the first graduating class from Harford Community College—then Harford Junior College—in 1959.
