Shannon Core

Shannon Core, M.Ed., is currently a PhD student in Early Childhood Special Education at the University of Washington, where involvement began in June 2023. Shannon serves as an Education Specialist at the Haring Center since June 2022 and previously operated Vivify Educational Solutions from March 2019 to June 2022, providing academic coaching and educational consulting across diverse age groups and needs. Shannon's experience includes working as an Early Childhood Special Education Itinerant Teacher for Birmingham City Schools from January 2017 to June 2022, where innovative techniques were utilized to support children with various disabilities. Additional roles include serving as a Kindergarten Teacher at St. Peter's Child Development Center, and earlier teaching positions at Odyssey Early Schools and Primrose Schools at Liberty Park. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Early Childhood Special Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
