Mark Rooney

Mark Rooney, NCIDQ, IIDA, serves as the Director of Design + Development at Harkins Theatres since September 2021, previously holding the role of Senior Manager of Design and Development. Prior experience includes serving as an Architectural Job Captain/Interior Designer at Maricopa County, overseeing improvements to a vast number of county-owned facilities. Mark has also contributed to various companies such as Arrowhead Harley-Davidson and PetSmart, where responsibilities included managing store design and customer experience. Experience at Kohl's as a Creative Design Manager involved cross-functional collaboration on interior architecture and fixture design. In academia, Mark has held roles as Adjunct Faculty and Academic Director of Interior Design, focusing on curriculum development and student success. Mark Rooney holds a Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
