Phil Ankeny

Phil Ankeny has over 30 years of work experience in a variety of roles. Phil began their career in 1985 as a Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley & Co. Phil then moved to IBM Corporation in 1989, where they held various marketing roles. In 1994, they became the OEM Marketing Manager at Shiva Corporation, and also held the role of Vice President at Robertson Stephens. In 1998, they became a Partner at Sherpa Partners, where they were responsible for strategic planning, raising capital, financial leadership, and business development. Phil then moved to Cognicity in 1999, where they were the CFO and was responsible for startup, team recruitment, strategic planning, business partner, raising capital, and operations. In 2003, they became the Senior VP & CFO at SurModics, where they also served as Interim CEO, and was responsible for business development, strategic planning, and investor relations. In 2011, they became an Independent Consultant and was responsible for raising capital, strategic planning, financial operations, and business partner. Finally, in 2019, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Harland Medical Systems, Inc.

Phil Ankeny obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Engineering from Dartmouth College between 1981 and 1985. Phil then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration - MBA from Harvard Business School between 1987 and 1989.
