Judith Cole has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Judith currently works as the Program Director of Harm Reduction Mobile Health Services at Harlem United, where they oversee the implementation, operations, and growth of harm reduction medical services. Judith also developed and manages the Low Threshold Buprenorphine Treatment program. Prior to this, they worked as a Prescribing Clinician at Ophelia, a virtual clinic specializing in the treatment of opioid use disorder and psychiatric comorbidities.
Before joining Ophelia, they served as an Adult Primary Care & Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Care For the Homeless, where they provided comprehensive healthcare to a complex and underserved population. Judith also played a key role in mobilizing COVID-19 pandemic-related protocols for women's homeless shelters and led a trauma-informed care initiative.
Additionally, Judith has experience as a Nurse Practitioner at Inovalon and as the Co-Owner & Clinical Director at Orchid Private Home Care, where they managed home health care services and provided clinical guidance. Judith Cole received their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where they studied from 2004 to 2010. Judith then attended Vanderbilt University from 2016 to 2018, where they earned their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. In terms of additional certifications, Judith obtained the Buprenorphine Waivered Practitioner certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine in 2019. Judith also obtained certifications as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (A-GNP) and a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-) in 2018, from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and The National Certification Corporation, respectively. Additionally, Judith holds a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
