Head Of Operations at Harlequins

Peter Cooper has extensive experience in operations and event management. Peter worked as the Head of Operations for Harlequins, where they led the formulation of operational plans for a large COVID-19 fixture and implemented safety and security plans for all matches. Peter also served as a Safety Officer for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, overseeing crowd safety management and liaising with various stakeholders.

In their previous role as a Senior Operations Manager at Lord’s Cricket Ground, Peter developed and delivered operational plans for international and domestic cricket matches, including the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Peter also created the operational strategy for the safety and security operation of matches and events at the venue.

Prior to their time at Lord’s Cricket Ground, Peter worked as a Senior Operations Manager at Southbank Centre, where they developed and implemented operational plans for large-scale events and festivals. Peter played a key role in creating the Visitor Experience strategy for the center's festival program.

Peter also has experience as an Operations Manager at the National Portrait Gallery, Town Hall and Symphony Hall Birmingham, Birmingham Opera Company, and Kings Norton Trust. In these roles, they were responsible for various aspects of event planning, logistics, staffing, and security.

Additionally, Peter worked as a freelance artist and Duty Operations Manager at Midlands Art Centre during their early career.
