Melissa Nieto

Melissa Nieto has extensive experience in education, working in various roles over the years. Melissa began their career in 1992 as an Elementary School Teacher at Weslaco Independent School District. From there, they progressed to become a Campus Instructional Facilitator and then a Dean of Instruction. In 2003, they transitioned to the role of Elementary School Principal before finally serving as the Director for Human Resources from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District as the Director for Human Services - Secondary Education, where they are currently employed.

Melissa Nieto has a strong educational background spanning multiple degrees and fields of study. Melissa first pursued their Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA) from The University of Texas-Pan American, graduating between 1986 and 1989. Building upon their undergraduate degree, Melissa pursued a Master of Education (MEd) specializing in Reading from the same institution, completing their studies from 1993 to 1995. Continuing their educational journey, they then pursued another MEd from The University of Texas-Pan American, this time in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, completing their studies from 1998 to 2000. Overall, Melissa Nieto has demonstrated a commitment to both business administration and education, showcasing their pursuit of knowledge and expertise in these areas.
