Shafaq Tirmizi

Shafaq Tirmizi has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Shafaq started their career in 2015 as a Corporate Accountant at Brookfield Properties. Shafaq then worked as a Property Accountant at Colliers in 2016 and as a Private Investment Valuations Intern at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan in 2017. From 2018 to 2019, Shafaq served as a Corporate Development Analyst at Revera Inc.

In 2020, Shafaq transitioned to the field of coaching and became a Mindset Coach at Phoenicia Coaching. In this role, they provided life and executive coaching to high-level professionals, focusing on leadership development, goal setting, and performance improvement. Shafaq developed and implemented customized coaching programs for executive clients and achieved high satisfaction ratings and improvements in self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and goal attainment. Shafaq also managed the day-to-day operations of the coaching practice and successfully increased the client base through effective marketing and referrals.

In addition to coaching, Shafaq has contributed to Thrive Thru, an initiative aimed at transforming the media landscape of mental health. Shafaq collaborated on podcasts and blogs, providing creative content and engaging insights to help people reach their full potential.

Shafaq's most recent work experience includes being a Projects Lead at JELLY Social, where they presumably oversee and manages various projects. Shafaq is also a Community Member at The Commons, a mentorship community that teaches skills and industry fundamentals used by strategy and operations teams at high-growth tech companies. Mentors at The Commons work in BizOps, Product, and Strategy roles at prominent companies such as Uber, DoorDash, Shopify, Google, and LinkedIn.

Shafaq Tirmizi completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Waterloo. This education was obtained from 2013 to 2018.
