Alastair Paterson

Alastair Paterson has extensive work experience in the field of data security and cyber risk. Alastair is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Harmonic Security, focused on reinventing data security for the AI-era. Alastair also holds a position as a Board Member at GBx.

Previously, Alastair founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Shadows, a cyber security company that specializes in threat intelligence and digital risk. Under their leadership, Digital Shadows became an internationally recognized leader in the industry. The company was later acquired for $160 million by ReliaQuest/KKR in July 2022.

Before their role at Digital Shadows, Alastair worked at Detica as an International Propositions Manager and Principal Consultant. In these roles, they developed and implemented strategies for international expansion and led trips around the world to promote Detica's capabilities in cyber security, big data, risk, intelligence, and surveillance.

Alastair's career also includes positions at Hewlett-Packard's European Research HQ, where they focused on mobile and internet research and development, and Imagination Technologies, where they worked as a developer on the PowerVR graphics chip.
