David Albers

David Albers has a diverse professional background in the field of medical affairs and research. David currently serves as the Medical Director of Medical Affairs at Harmony Biosciences since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Biogen as the Medical Director for Pipeline in US Medical Affairs from December 2020 to March 2022. Before Biogen, they served as a Scientific and Medical Communications professional at ReNeuron from December 2017 to June 2020. David also worked in preclinical research and development at Inotek Pharmaceuticals Corporation from September 2015 to September 2017.

Earlier in their career, David held significant positions at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Boston. David was an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology from August 2009 to September 2015 and concurrently served as the Director of the Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacology & Toxicology Program during the same period. Prior to this, they worked as the Associate Director of Neuroscience at Curis, Inc. from March 2002 to August 2008. David'searly experience includes working as an Assistant Professor in Neurology and Neuroscience at Weill Cornell Medical College from February 1999 to March 2002.

David Albers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis, where they studied between 1987 and 1991. David then pursued further education at Rutgers University, where they obtained a PhD in Pharmacology. This doctoral program lasted from 1991 to 1997.
