Ryno du Preez

Ryno du Preez currently serves as the Operations Director for Harmony Energy since April 2024. Previously, Ryno held the position of Senior Engineer at Solar Bay from October 2022 to April 2024 and served as a Senior Utility Engineer at The SOLA Group from March 2017 to October 2022, contributing to the development and execution of solar projects in Southern Africa. Ryno's expertise includes managing engineering teams and conducting design reviews, having overseen the approval of multiple solar projects. Ryno began the career with an Engineer in Training role at Eskom and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from North-West University, where Ryno completed research focused on weather radar technology. Additionally, Ryno has experience in solar technology competitions and vacation work within the energy sector.
