James Ricks

James Ricks has over 15 years of experience in software engineering. James is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Harness since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Hitachi Vantara from 2018 to 2022, where they primarily worked on Pentaho software. At Hitachi Vantara, they upgraded all of Pentaho's products to compile with Java 11 and created the upgrade installer for major releases. Before that, they worked at Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer Sr from 2008 to 2018. At Lockheed Martin, they worked on multiple programs and projects, serving as a scrum master, technical lead, team lead, and mentor. James led their teams through the entire software development life cycle. Prior to Lockheed Martin, James worked as a Student Software Engineer at Brigham Young University - Idaho from 2007 to 2008, maintaining the university's custom internal web builder. James also had a software engineering internship at USAA in 2007.

James Ricks completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science at Brigham Young University - Idaho from 2002 to 2008. James then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Software Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University - Silicon Valley from 2011 to 2013. In addition to their degrees, James holds a certification in CompTIA Security+, although specific details regarding the institution and date of attainment are unavailable.
