Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in collaborative technology development and electronics design. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has contributed to the advancement of DViT (Digital Vision Touch) interactive whiteboards, flat panels, and various educational devices as both an electrical engineer and firmware engineer. Previous roles include electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where responsibilities involved designing and repairing educational devices, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting engineering labs and assessments. Early experience as an electronics engineer at Grindcom focused on developing control systems for forestry equipment. Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
