Shobhit V.

Shobhit V. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Shobhit currently holds the position of AI/ML Researcher at Harness since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Data Scientist at Fiddler AI from 2021 to 2022.

From 2019 to 2021, Shobhit held different roles at Credit Sesame, including Staff Machine Learning Engineer and Staff Data Scientist. At Credit Sesame, they built scalable Machine Learning models for personalization and implemented learning to Rank algorithms. Shobhit also conducted research on fairness and conditional sample sizes, developing a weighting scheme to make models "more fair".

Before joining Credit Sesame, Shobhit worked at Walmart Labs as a Staff Data Scientist from 2017 to 2019. During their time there, they created Bayesian Time Series forecasting models and developed high throughput algorithms for explainability and model monitoring. Shobhit also designed an internal product to help attribute root causes for forecast movements.

Prior to Walmart Labs, Shobhit held the position of Head of Quantitative Risk at Noble Americas from 2015 to 2017. Shobhit founded an adaptive learning technology company called EdGenie from 2012 to 2014. Shobhit also worked at Constellation Energy from 2006 to 2012, holding various positions including Associate in Model Risk Management, Associate in Capital Pricing, and Analyst for quantitative strategies.

Shobhit V. began their education at the Indian Statistical Institute, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from 1999 to 2002. Shobhit then pursued further studies at the Chennai Mathematical Institute, completing a Master's degree in Computer Science between 2002 and 2004. In 2004, they enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania, aiming to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, which they were still pursuing as a PhD candidate until 2005.

Several years later, in 2012, Shobhit V. attended Stanford University for a short period, undertaking Continuing Education Credits in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
