William Wissemann

William Wissemann has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. William is currently a Staff Software Engineer at Harness, a role they started in November 2021. Previously, they worked at ZeroNorth from December 2019 to November 2021, initially as a Software Engineer and later as a Software Engineer (Team Lead). At ZeroNorth, they specialized in Python, Nodejs, MySQL, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and microservices. Some of their accomplishments include creating a new Agile workflow, improving the data ingestion process, building new microservices, and enhancing platform stability.

Before joining ZeroNorth, William worked at Mugatunes as a Technology Advisor & Software Engineer from November 2018 to August 2019. Prior to that, they were at Hanzo, where they held two roles: Software Engineer - Crawl Engineering Team from January 2019 to June 2019, and Junior Crawl Engineer - Crawl Operations from May 2016 to December 2018. William's work experience also includes a role as a Research Assistant / Consultant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Neurology Department. William was involved in data management and technical support for a Parkinson's research project from March 2015 to April 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Program Research Specialist 1 at the Wadsworth Center, NYS Department of Health, from September 2012 to September 2014. During this time, they wrote scripts to optimize the analysis of large datasets for Parkinson's disease research.

In 2012, William gained research experience as a Summer Research Assistant at the Summer Research Institute. William worked on software development and data collection for a project on lexical simplification.

Prior to their career in technology, William worked as a Photographic Laboratory Monitor at Woods Studio, Bard College, from January 2009 to May 2012. In this role, they provided guidance to photography students and managed inventory and chemicals.
