Benjamin Firer

Benjamin Firer currently serves as the Music Director for the Harper Symphony Orchestra at Harper College and as the Assistant Conductor for the Rockford Symphony Orchestra. With extensive experience in orchestral conducting, Benjamin also directs the NEIU Orchestra at Northeastern Illinois University and has held various roles including Artist Faculty and Assistant Conductor at the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, and Interim Music Director for the Quad City Symphony Orchestra's Youth Ensemble. Benjamin earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Orchestral Conducting from Northwestern University, a Master of Music from Penn State University, a Master of Music from Yale University, and a Bachelor of Music in Education from the State University of New York College at Potsdam.
