Deann Surdo

Deann Surdo serves as the Director of Outcomes Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness at Harper College since August 2019. With extensive experience in education, Deann held positions such as Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Director of General Education at The Illinois Institute of Art from 2010 to 2018, managing faculty and developing assessment programs. Additionally, Deann has been a USAT Level I Certified Coach for TriForce Training since July 2012, specializing in triathlon training across various distances. Previous roles include adjunct instructor at South Suburban Community College and inclusion aide in School District 163, along with internships in environmental biology and education. Deann holds a Master of Science in Environmental Biology from Governor's State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Environmental Biology from Eastern Illinois University.
