Laura Brown

Laura Brown is the VP, Chief Advancement Officer at Harper College. Laura has held this position since September 2011. Prior to that, they were the Director of Annual Giving and Alumni at Harper College from January 2010 to September 2011. In that role, they were responsible for leading the individual annual gifts and corporate sponsorship giving programs for the Educational Foundation in support of William Rainey Harper College. Laura initiated and managed the production of all written and web-based marketing information and materials for the Foundation, including quarterly newsletter, event promotional materials, and donor stewardship and solicitation information. Laura also provided strategic direction and oversight for Board committees, annual giving campaigns, events, corporate proposal, advancement operations, and assisted with campaign management. Laura developed and implemented the Harper College alumni program and distinguished alumni recognition program.

Laura Brown has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of St. Francis and a Bachelor's degree in therapeutic Recreation from the University of St. Francis.

Their manager is Avis Proctor, President. They are on a team with MaryAnn Janosik - Provost, Darlene Schlenbecker - VP, Planning, Research and Institutional Effectiveness, and Maria Coons - VP, Strategic Alliances and Innovation & Board Liaison.
