Rita Gura

Rita Gura serves as the Interim Dean of Health Careers at Harper College since February 2017, where Rita has also held the roles of Founding Director of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program, Associate Professor, and IPE Coordinator. Rita has developed various PTA courses and taught a wide array of subjects including Medical Terminology and Advanced Pharmacology. Additionally, Rita has significant experience in program coordination, curriculum development, and institutional service as a committee chair and facilitator. Prior to Harper College, Rita held key leadership positions at Doctors of Physical Therapy, Addus HomeCare, Inc., and Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers, focusing on operations, talent acquisition, and clinical management. Rita holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Biochemistry from Millikin University.
