John Whalen

John Whalen has a diverse work experience in the publishing industry. John is currently serving as the Vice President, Publisher at HarperCollins Publishers since October 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Publisher at Cider Mill Press Book Publishers from June 2016 to October 2022. Additionally, they founded their own publishing company, Whalen Book Works, in May 2016 and worked as the Founder & Publisher until October 2022. Before that, they worked as a Sales Project Coordinator at Workman Publishing from February 2015 to May 2017.

John Whalen has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Columbia Business School, with a completion date in 2025. John previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and Business Administration from Fordham University, which they completed in 2016. John also holds a Master's degree in English Education from Brooklyn College, which they completed between 2017 and 2020.
