Ty Tashiro

Ty Tashiro is an accomplished author and researcher with significant experience in psychology and communication. Currently, Ty serves as an author at HarperCollins Publishers since 2015. Previously, Ty worked as research faculty at the Center for Addictions Personality and Emotion Research from 2012 to 2015 and contributed as a writer for Discovery Communications from 2012 to 2014, focusing on the interplay of romantic love, sex, and science. Ty also held a position as an assistant professor at the University of Maryland, College Park from 2005 to 2007, teaching courses in psychology at both undergraduate and doctoral levels. Ty earned a PhD in Psychology from the University of Minnesota between 1999 and 2004, following a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder completed in 1996.
