Howie Rhee

Howie Rhee is currently an advisor at Harpie. From May 2013 to May 2022, they were the managing director for student and alumni affairs at Duke University's Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative. There, they were responsible for running the Melissa & Doug Entrepreneurs program, the Duke Startup Challenge, DukeGEN, StartupConnect, HackDuke, the Student Liaison Committee, and the Program for Entrepreneurs (P4E). Rhee was also a member of the Duke Angel Network Screening Committee. Prior to their work at Duke, Rhee was a manager for entrepreneurial development programs at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development from June 2004 to June 2006. There, they ran FastTrac, the Innovator's Workshop, Streak, and the Entrepreneurs Only Workshops. Before their work at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, Rhee interned in business development at DuPont from May 2003 to August 2003. There, they did primary market research for a new hydrogel product. Rhee has also been involved with the Global MIT Enterprise Forum, where they served as a board member from August 2007 to July 2010. Howie has also served as a board member for Leadership Triangle from August 2007 to July 2009. Rhee was president of Novek Executive Search from July 2006 to August 2007.

Howie Rhee received an MBA in entrepreneurship from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a S.B. in management science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
