Chivas Guillote has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Starting in 1995, Chivas worked as an EMS Field Supervisor for the Montgomery County Hospital District. In 2001, Chivas joined the Memorial Hermann Health System as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery patients in the CVICU and later transitioning to a Flight Nurse role. In 2012, Chivas became the Vice President of Clinical Services and EMS Nurse Practitioner at the Harris County Emergency Corps, overseeing various aspects of clinical care delivery. Chivas also worked as a Course Coordinator for the Airway Management Education Center and as a Flight Nurse Practitioner for Medical Jets International. In 2017, Chivas worked as a Nurse Practitioner at the Tomball Regional Emergency Physician Associates before joining Envision Physician Services as a Nurse Practitioner. Currently, Chivas is serving as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner at Integrative Emergency Services. Chivas also has experience as a Casual Faculty member at the Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth. Overall, Chivas Guillote has demonstrated expertise in emergency care, clinical leadership, and education throughout their career.

Chivas Guillote obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Executive Leadership from The Johns Hopkins University in the years 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, in 2019, Chivas Guillote received a Post-Masters Certification in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston).
In 2015 to 2017, Chivas Guillote pursued and completed a Master of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. During the same period, another Post-Masters Certification was also attained by Chivas Guillote, this time in Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
Before the post-graduate studies, Chivas Guillote acquired a BSN (Hons) degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2011 to 2012.
In terms of prior associate-level education, Chivas Guillote completed an Associate's degree in Nursing through the Paramedic to RN track at Lone Star College from 2003 to 2004. Furthermore, Chivas Guillote earned a Certificate in EMS Certification from Lone Star College in the years 1993 to 1995.
Additionally, Chivas Guillote obtained the Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN®) certification from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN®) in October 2020.
