Nathan Nguyen is an undergraduate research assistant at Baylor College of Medicine, where research focuses on integrating synthetic biology and protein engineering to advance neuroscience, with projects including the in-vitro characterization of mGold2 and the development of the SPOTlight screening pipeline. Previously, Nathan served as a research intern at MD Anderson Cancer Center, studying the effects of novel drugs on Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Cells, and at Texas State University, working on machine learning classification of emotion-driven EEG data. Currently pursuing education at Rice University, Nathan is a graduate of the Academy of Science and Technology at College Park High School, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
