Precinct 2 encompasses nearly 560 square miles of east Harris County spanning from the back roads of Huffman to the bustling shops in Webster, the lucrative petrochemical plants in Baytown, and the unique small businesses of East Aldine. With over 1,300 miles of roads, 17 community centers, 15 municipalities, and 12 school districts within its boundaries, the sense of community is strong. Also unique to Precinct 2 is the number of access points to open water, as well as the only free public beach in Harris County – Sylvan Beach Park. As home to NASA, the Ship Channel, San Jacinto Battleground, Washburn Tunnel, and Lynchburg Ferry - history, hard work, and innovation runs deep in Precinct 2.
