Dara Griffith has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and project management. They started their career in 2004 as a Staff Engineer at GCE - George Cairo Engineering, Inc., where they were responsible for preparing technical specifications, drainage reports, and cost estimates. They also performed topographic surveying and field compliance inspections. In 2007, they joined the City of Chandler, Arizona as a Project Manager, where they coordinated capital improvement projects, performed construction management duties, and responded to public questions and complaints. From 2014 to 2018, Dara served as an Engineering Project Manager at the City of Chandler, overseeing Capital Improvement Projects and executing technical and constructability reviews. In 2018, they joined the Harris County Engineering Department as a Project Manager, and later became a Senior Project Manager, responsible for managing projects related to the Capital Improvement Program. In 2022, Dara joined the Harris County Toll Road Authority as an Operations and Maintenance Engineer, and later served as the Interim Deputy Director of Operations and Facility Infrastructure, where they directed engineering, construction, and facilities projects and managed staff involved in project development and implementation.

Dara Griffith began their education journey in 2000 at Arizona State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering. Dara completed their undergraduate studies in 2005. Later, in 2007, Dara enrolled at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University to pursue their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, with a field of study focused on Technology, Science, and Engineering (TSE). Dara successfully completed their MBA in 2009.
