Claire Hickling

Claire Hickling is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in various leadership roles within multiple schools. Currently serving as a Senior Professional Tutor at the National Institute of Teaching since July 2024 and as a Professional Tutor at Harris Federation since April 2022, Claire's previous roles include Director of Science at Ark Evelyn Grace Academy, where notable contributions included curriculum design and trainee training. Other significant positions held include Assistant Principal and Acting Vice Principal at Ark Academy (Wembley Park), overseeing behavior, inclusion, and safeguarding, and teaching roles at The Bushey Academy. Claire holds an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, a Masters in Educational Leadership from IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society, a PGCE from Canterbury Christ Church University, and an NPQSL from the National College.
