Director, Service + Building Automation Key Accounts at Harris

Ross Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ross started their career as a Co-op Intern at Sheldahl, Inc, where they worked on short-run specialty products in the automotive, high-tech, and space industries. Ross then joined Federal Mogul as a Co-op Intern, primarily focusing on oil seal research and development, including test machine development and analysis of engineering products.

Moving forward, Ross joined Harris Controls as an Account Executive, where they developed and managed key accounts in the commercial and industrial sectors, prioritizing energy management solutions for customers. Ross later became a Sales Manager, working with their team to develop and manage customer relationships and ensuring consistent profitable growth in the Controls division.

Ross then took on the role of Controls General Manager/Integrator, overseeing operational and sales activities in the St. Paul office. Ross was responsible for achieving division objectives in terms of revenue, profit, and sales volume, as well as formulating and executing the strategic vision of Harris Controls.

Most recently, Ross held the position of Regional Sales Director at Harris, leading sales teams in the St. Paul and Rochester offices. Ross emphasized creative solutions for building owners and occupants, driving remarkable results for clients. Presently, they hold the position of Director, Service + Building Automation Key Accounts, contributing to the growth and success of the company.

Throughout their career, Ross has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a focus on customer satisfaction, and a commitment to achieving business objectives.

Ross Nelson's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. In 2010, they completed a Mini Masters in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business. From 2012 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University.
