Katia Fernandes

Katia Fernandes has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on strategic HR management and employee relations. Katia has held various leadership roles in multinational companies throughout their career. In their most recent position as Regional Human Resources Director at Harsco Environmental, they were responsible for developing strategic objectives and navigating complex matrix structures at both corporate and site levels. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Human Resources at Lear Corporation, where they acted as a coach and trusted business advisor to regional managers. Katia also led the biggest Union Negotiation in the region and implemented labor relation strategies. Before that, Katia Fernandes was the Human Resources Director for Latin America at Belden Inc., where they ensured the implementation of global HR strategies and standards. Katia also provided support to managers in various HR areas, such as recruitment, performance management, talent management, and compensation & benefits. Earlier in their career, they served as the Head of HR South America at Triumph International and as the HR and EHS Manager for South America at Eaton Corporation Fluid Power. Katia started their career at DuPont, where they worked as a Strategic HR Manager, overseeing various HR functions and acting as an internal consultant for multiple business units. Overall, Katia Fernandes has extensive experience in managing HR operations, driving organizational effectiveness, and supporting business strategies.

Katia Fernandes completed a Marketing Specialization from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in the year 2005. In addition, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from the same institution between 2001 and 2003. Additionally, in the year 2020, they obtained a certification in Strengthening Workplace Wellness from Harsco Environmental, through Duke Corporate Education and the ExecOnline Team.
