Michael Berchou is a seasoned attorney with over 15 years of experience in litigating complex intellectual property matters. Currently serving as a Partner at Harter Secrest & Emery LLP since August 2016, Michael has acted as lead counsel in various patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright cases across the United States. Prior to this role, Michael was a Partner in the Intellectual Property Group at Phillips Lytle LLP from October 1998 to July 2016, specializing in patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright law and litigation. Michael holds a JD from the University at Buffalo School of Law, an MBA from the University at Buffalo School of Management, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
