Monique Carkum Edwards, Esq. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Monique currently serves as the Principal Learning Partner at Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning, where they collaborate with thought leaders and industry experts to create impactful leadership development programs. Prior to this, Monique founded and served as the Principal Consultant at Gravitas Executive Consulting, focusing on closing retention and promotion gaps for executive women of color. Monique also held the role of Chair at C12 Business Forums and worked as a Leadership Facilitator for High Growth Start Ups at Venwise. Monique has extensive experience in coaching and training, as they served as a High Lead Coach at Own The Room, providing public speaking and executive presence training. Monique also worked as the Executive Pastor at Trinity Christian Center, showcasing their leadership and organizational skills. Monique began their legal career at Debevoise & Plimpton as an Associate, before joining Honeywell, where they held various positions, including General Counsel, Assistant General Counsel, and Senior Counsel, in different areas of corporate law.

Monique Carkum Edwards, Esq. holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from New York University School of Law, which they obtained from 1992 to 1995. Monique completed their undergraduate education at Emory University from 1986 to 1990, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Economics. Prior to that, they attended Benjamin Franklin High School from 1982 to 1986. In terms of additional certifications, Monique obtained a certification in Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching for Leaders from Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching in 2021, a Certified Workout Coach certification from MindGym in 2020, a Communications Coach certification from Own The Room in 2018, and completed the Management Development Program offered by Honeywell in 2006. Recently, Monique also pursued studies at the MIT Sloan School of Management from an unspecified time up until 2017, where they focused on Leading Organizations and Change.
