Klara Jelinkova

Klara Jelinkova is currently the VP of Harvard IT Services and CIO at Harvard University. Prior to their current position, Klara served as the Vice President of International Operations and IT as well as the Chief Information Officer at Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business. In this role, Klara was responsible for connecting the campus nationally and globally through technology, served as a key member of the President's Cabinet, and advised on broad technology issues and the impact of technology across the industry. Klara also developed Rice's technology strategy, staffed the IT Committee of the Rice Board of Trustees, and provided oversight of university-wide IT governance process. In addition, Klara was responsible for providing the business case and accountability to the Board of Trustees for major IT projects such as new ERP system, new advancement (fundraising) system, new learning management system (that can support both traditional and digital education), network upgrade, VOIP, data warehousing and BI, etc. Lastly, Klara had operational responsibility for the Information Security Office and the Office of Information Technology as well as oversight of the distributed IT ecosystem.

Klara Jelinkova has a Doctor of Education from Johns Hopkins University School of Education in Entrepreneurial Leadership, a Master of Education from Boston University in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Economics and Slavic Languages.

Klara Jelinkova reports to Lawrence S. Bacow, President. They are on a team with Patricia Bellinger - Chief of Staff & Strategic Advisor to the President, Manuel Cuevas - Trisán - VP, HR, and Marc Goodheart - VP, Secretary.
