Rory MacKean

Rory MacKean has a diverse work experience in the robotics industry. Rory currently holds the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Harvest Automation Inc. since 2023. Previously, they co-founded Tertill in 2015 and served as the Chief Product Officer (CPO). In the same year, they worked at Superpedestrian as a Systems Engineering Manager.

Prior to that, MacKean worked at Harvest Automation Inc. as a Robot Software Engineer from 2010 until 2015. Rory also had experience at MobileRobots Inc., where they served as the Research Products Manager from 2010 to 2010 and as the Research and Development (R&D) Manager from 2007 to 2009.

Additionally, MacKean was a Guest on the television show Prototype This! in 2008. Rory began their career at MobileRobots as a Systems Engineer from 2002 to 2006.

Rory MacKean obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the years 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 2000 and 2002. Later on, they attended Tufts University from 2006 to 2008, completing a master's degree in Engineering Management.
