Mike Cox has extensive experience in nonprofit management and community services, currently serving as the Agency Services Coordinator at Harvesters--The Community Food Network since April 2021. Prior to this role, Mike managed the FamilyWorks Food Bank and Resource Center from September 2014 to April 2021. Mike's earlier experience includes significant leadership positions at Lifelong AIDS Alliance, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing volunteer services, operations management, and directing emergency food programs for individuals with chronic illnesses. Mike's educational background includes a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and studies at Conception Seminary College.

Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 26-county area of northeastern Kansas and northwestern Missouri. Our mission is to mobilize the power of our community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes of hunger. Our network provides food and household products to more than 760 nonprofit agencies including food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others.
