Cynthia Martinez

Cynthia Martinez, Ph.D., currently serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Harvey Mudd College since July 2023, previously holding the interim position in the same role. With an extensive career at the University of Southern California since 1999, Cynthia has held various positions including Part-time Lecturer, Interim Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Executive Director of Advisement and Academic Services, and Director of Advisement & Academic Services. Additionally, at Keck Graduate Institute from 2018 to July 2023, Cynthia held the roles of Associate Dean for the Community Medicine Program and Professor of Practice, as well as Dean of Students. Cynthia's academic background includes a Master of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California, a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
