Nicholas Harvey has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Nicholas began their career in 1984 as a Geologist for WMC Petroleum, where they implemented Geolog and Petrolog as the database, and managed geoscience systems in the office. In 1990, they took on the role of Interpretation Specialist for ResTech Europe Ltd. From 1992 to 1997, they worked as a Principal Consultant for Nicholas M Harvey, providing borehole image projects for BP, ConocoPhillips, Total, and others. Nicholas then joined Baker Hughes in 1997 as a Geoscience Manager, where they were responsible for promoting the STAR tool in the Asia Pacific region, and later managed the Geoscience Centre in Nigeria. In 2003, they moved to Crocker Data Processing Pty Ltd as a Petrophysicist and advisor on the Imagelog module of Petrolog software. In 2007, they became Manager at Weatherford, where they had responsibility for PETROLOG sales/support globally and all geoscience interpretations done by Weatherford wireline in Asia Pacific. In 2010, they took on the role of Managing Director for Target Oilfield Services Pty Ltd, where they worked on advanced borehole image interpretation for Australian and Middle East clients. Finally, in 2011, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Harvey Rock Physics, where they built LogScope iPad, Windows and soon iPhone gesture-based petrophysical software, and performed petrophysical interpretations in Carbonate, Clastic environments for conventional and unconventional reservoirs using LogScope software. Nicholas also generated innovative borehole image related petrophysical solutions which included Porethroat, Permeability and Surface area conductivity and wetness index.

Nicholas Harvey attended Curtin University from 1982 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology/Earth Science, General.
