David Carter

David Carter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. David currently holds the position of Claims Operations Director at Hastings Direct, a role they have been in since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Commercial & Strategy Director, First & Third Party Claims from November 2020 to April 2022, and as the Commercial & Strategy Director, Third Party Claims from September 2018 to April 2022. Before joining Hastings Direct, David worked at Barclaycard as the Vice President, Barclaycard Partnerships from January 2012 to August 2013. David also had various roles at Barclays Bank, including Senior Manager, Existing Customer Management, UK Retail Bank from November 2010 to January 2012, and Customer Strategy & Insight Manager, Barclays Europe from August 2009 to November 2010. David started their career with Barclaycard, where they held the positions of Retention & Loyalty Manager from January 2008 to July 2009, and participated in the Barclays Graduate Scheme from September 2006 to December 2007.

David Carter completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern History and Politics with a 2:1 classification at the University of Warwick from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, in 2005, they briefly studied South East Asian Politics & Policy at the City University of Hong Kong.
